People Coordinator – 9 month FTC
Your team:
You will be joining a lean and strategic People team who support all departments within our global publishing business. We prioritise our employees’ growth, well-being and development, ensuring they are central to everything we do.
Your role:
In this generalist role you will work closely with the People Partners and the Head of People on maintaining and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations, including payroll and onboarding processes, directly impacting employee satisfaction and operational smoothness.
Your key responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include HR process management, supporting the development of DEI practices across the business, contributing to the development of HR policy and procedures and maintaining communication and administrative efficiency within the HR team and the broader organisation.
Day to day you can expect:
Being the first point of contact for employees across the business regarding HR queries
Accurate and timely HR system management and payroll processing
Running the structured onboarding and induction process to integrate new hires into the company culture
Effectively managing the end-to-end maternity/paternity/adoption/family leave cycle transition
Providing support and advice on employee relations matters as needed
Contributing to the ongoing development of HR policy, process and procedures to support the business
The opportunity to support the implementation of a wide range of People projects across the company.
Essential experience, abilities and knowledge you’ll need to succeed:
Demonstrable experience working at an HR Assistant level
A good understanding and knowledge of HR policies and procedures
An understanding of current and forthcoming employment law issues
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to establish credibility with all levels in the organisation
Familiarity with using HR information systems and updating records on a regular basis
Experience managing monthly payroll processes
Knowledge of data protection and privacy laws
Experience maintaining HR systems and ensuring all records are up to date on a monthly basis, including making necessary changes for payroll
Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
A sound working knowledge of Gmail and Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Access databases.

This is a full time, permanent role, and will be based in our offices in Farringdon, London, with some flexibility to work from home each week.
