Audio Production Manager
Your team:
You will be part of a dynamic, close-knit audio team that has a successful track record of producing bestselling audiobooks.
Your role:
As the Audio Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role by managing and inspiring members of our talented Audio Editorial team and overseeing the entire production lifecycle of our audiobooks. Reporting to the Audio Publishing Director, you will ensure our products not only meet but exceed industry standards.
Your key responsibilities:
Ensure the Audio Editorial team produces high-quality work by fostering a collaborative environment
Effectively handle project management for audiobook recordings, which includes casting, author approvals, negotiating fees and scheduling with external stakeholders while maintaining adherence to production budgets and key performance indicators
Oversee the production budgeting process for audio titles to ensure productions are cost-effective and meet profit targets
Work closely with the Contracts and Legal teams to ensure all contractual and legal matters relating to audio production are completed to avoid delays to publication
Build and maintain strong working relationships with third-party studios and audio production companies, leveraging your negotiation skills to ensure high-quality and cost-efficient audio productions
Promote innovation within the audio production process by leading the integration of AI technology and other advancements, sharing knowledge and best practice across the organisation.
Essential experience, abilities and knowledge you’ll need to succeed:
Proven experience in audiobook publishing
Excellent negotiating and budget management skills
In-depth technical knowledge of audio production
Solid background in the audio industry and project management
Ability to foster a collaborative environment within the team.
Desirable skills we’d love you to have:
Experience of working with AI in audio production
A strong network within the audio production and publishing industry
Management experience with a proven track record of leading and inspiring team members
Ability to innovate and adapt in a constantly changing industry.

This is a full time, permanent, and will be based in our offices in Farringdon, London, with some flexibility to work from home each week.
