Senior Marketing Executive, Bluebird

Your role:
Bluebird, including One Boat, is at an incredibly exciting moment of evolution and growth. As Senior Marketing Executive you will work with the Communications Director and the rest of the Communications team to help drive impactful and fully integrated campaigns, seek out new opportunities, and engage with diverse audiences to deliver sales across multiple UK and international channels.
Your key responsibilities:
- To plan and deliver creative, innovative, audience-focused marketing campaigns to drive sales for a range of titles across the Bluebird and One Boat lists, as allocated by the Communications Director, working closely with the publicist associated with those titles.
- To research online influencers across all platforms relevant to our books’ subject matter, build relationships with them and devise influencer-specific activity to promote Bluebird and One Boat titles.
- To assist the Communications Director and the Senior Marketing Manager on marketing campaigns for Bluebird’s biggest-selling authors and lead titles.
- To create and edit arresting, sales-driving video content for Bluebird Comms campaigns across the team.
- To write copy, brief covers and organize the printing of Bluebird book proofs (early pre- publication copies)
- To design digital marketing assets for use for paid and organic content.
- To ensure that all book campaigns are implemented to budget (as set by the Communications Director) and delivered within agreed timelines.
- To provide timely updates on campaign activity for the Editor, agent, Sales and International Sales teams as required.
- To brief creative agencies and freelancers on advertising and social content and to write and proof read copy where required.
- To put together pitch documents and to use data insights to plan campaigns and advise the Editorial team on acquisitions.
Essential experience, abilities and knowledge you’ll need to succeed:
- To have run your own marketing campaigns for at least one year, ideally including working with influencers on both a paid and organic basis
- To be fully versed in Microsoft Office
- To be deeply immersed in social media and adept at using the different platforms to reach diverse audiences and convert them to sales
- To have design skills in at least one programme, e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, etc.
- To be a skilled communicator, both with other members of Pan Macmillan and external partners
- Must display a strong ability to manage time and prioritize, working on multiple projects simultaneously, and an ability to juggle tasks
- Good copy-writing skills
- Good initiative and a strong team player
- Passion for/genuine interest in some of the subjects in which Bluebird and One Boat publish

Salary starting from: £34,000
